Choose from eight period, or four contemporary rooms, each one individually finished to reflect The George’s impeccable heritage. Each room has its own unique colour scheme designed to accentuate the many distinctive pieces of furniture and art.

Filled with warmth and character, our period rooms retain many of their classic original features, for example The Crimson Room, where Queen Elizabeth stayed during her visit in 1573, is a favourite amongst guests looking for a romantic setting with rich décor.

For visitors who prefer more contemporary styling, why not tempt yourself with the informal sophistication of one of our more modern rooms?

Because we strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible, all rooms come complete with en-suite bathrooms, complimentary revitalising toiletries from Gilchrist & Soames and luxurious bathrobes. The additional modern refinements of flat screen satellite televisions and tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.

We can add a cot to any room free of charge. Oyster and Copper can be converted from double to twin rooms if required. Extra beds can also be used in the following rooms and they cost £20.00 per bed per night:
Mandarin, Aurum, Crimson, Azure: up to 2 extra beds can be added.
Heather, Willow: 1 extra bed can be added.

Dogs are welcome in certain rooms at £5.00 per night.
